The champion of contemporary double bass Robert Black presents an evening of works by 3 generations of minimalist-inspired composers, interspersed with his own theater pieces and a beautiful eastern-tinged composition Mantram by Giacinto Scelsi.

Robert Black tours the world creating unheard of music for the double bass. He collaborates with the most adventurous composers, musicians, dancers, artists, actors, chefs (!), and technophiles from all walks of life. He is a founding member of the Bang On A Can All Stars. You can find his solo CDs on New World Records (Modern American Bass), Mode Records (The Complete Bass Music of Christian Wolff and The Bass Music of Giacinto Scelsi) and his All Stars recordings on Cantaloupe Records.
